Frequently Asked Questions

Can I resize an image without losing quality?

Reducing an image generally preserves quality well. Enlarging always involves some quality loss since new pixels must be interpolated. Our tool uses the browser's high-quality smoothing algorithm for the sharpest results in both cases.

Will resizing change the file format?

No. JPG images are saved as JPG, PNG as PNG, and WebP as WebP. If you also want to change format, use our Image Converter tool after resizing.

How do I resize an image for Instagram?

Upload your image, then click the Instagram preset (1080×1080). The dimensions fill in automatically. Click Resize and download. For Stories (1080×1920) enter the dimensions manually.

Is there a maximum size I can resize to?

Upload limit is 50 MB. Output dimensions are capped at 10,000 × 10,000 pixels to protect your browser from running out of memory on very large canvases.
